Denosyl has been shown to increase hepatic glutathione levels in cats and dogs. 10-12 Glutathione is a potent antioxidant that protects hepatic cells from toxins and death. A recent analysis of 31 dogs and cats with various severe liver problems showed that 45% of these animals had low hepatic glutathione levels.13 Denosyl is recommended to improve hepatic glutathione levels in compromised patients to help maintain and protect liver function. Denosyl may also be used in other conditions of tissue oxidant injury and RBC fragility caused by certain toxins or drugs which are related to reduced glutathione concentrations.

Comment: I started giving this to my doberman after she was diagnosed with CAH and cirrhosis. It has assisted in lowering her liver blood tests to almost normal levels and maintaining it for the past 2 years. Without it, I do not believe that Molly would still be with me. It is well worth the money.

Comment: My lab has been taking 2 tablets of the 425mg. denosyl for more then 2 months now. After many liver tests, we found out her liver was storing copper and zinc. So my vet prescribed the denosyl, marin, and ursodiol. She's back to normal and will probably be on these pills for the rest of her live. So it's nice to know that I can save so much money by ordering them online.

Comment: I bought the same amount of Denosyl from my vet and paid $165 (they charged me by the pill). I should have checked amazon first! The vet says my dog's liver enzymes are looking good. Excellent product...outstanding price!!!!

Comment: My dog has Doberman Hepetitis - it is not contageous but breed specific. This is the only thing that has helped her and I love my vet for recommending it.
