Customer Rating: Summary: Nice little fan Comment: Was very useful when i was living upstairs with a room that faced direct sunlight most the day. You can set the topmost fan to pull air out of your room while the bottom fan pushes fresh air in. Works well for me.
Customer Rating: Summary: Reasonable quality for a reasonable price Comment: We bought this partly because the idea of a twin window fan with separately adjustable exhaust/intake ability for each fan (i.e., you can set one fan to blow in and the other to blow out) sounded appealing. However, we hardly ever use this feature as it doesn't seem to do anything worthwhile. Almost invariably we want the fan to blow in if it's cooler outside than inside, or to blow out if we're trying to eliminate an odor (e.g., from cooking).
We paid $40, and for this price it offers reasonable quality; it's plastic of course, and an off white color. Perhaps a tad cheap looking (compared to our much better quality Hunter Century table and floor fans) but for a lower price. It's also a little difficult to keep clean as it doesn't disassemble easily.
Customer Rating: Summary: Built like a tank... great plastic... no annoying lights to keep you awake Comment: Of couse the quality is great, built like a tank and I'd like to point out to those who may have not thought of it... it has no lights! Great if you want to use it in any room where you might be SLEEPING!
The quality is unmatched... I knew that when I purchased my first Honeywell fan for summer camp 16 years ago... this is my 3rd (the first is still kicking just fine). I have the floor fan, its $9 mini and now this great window fan. Built like a tank out of what is really good quality plastic, I'm very happy.
Id like to see it with a lower low setting, in black, and a bit quieter but since there are no black window fans in the market and it kicks the crap out of other fans on the other two points I will be keeping this baby till Honeywell makes a newer one :)
Customer Rating: Summary: Honeywell Window Fan Comment: I have had these fans for two years and have had no problems yet. The unit is loud but I just use it during the day in the bedroom to create a draft in the living room. The unit is made in China and has a cheap plastic case. It is UL listed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great cooling; good for exhaust too Comment: I think the grills might occasionally sneak back into the base unit. But this does a fantastic job of blowing the cool air from the breezeway into our apartment. I'm sure the dog loves how much cooler the apartment is during the day while we're at work. And I know the wife loves the exhaust feature when I'm in the kitchen cooking. We're definitely happy with the purchase.
